apn® Always up to date
DAGA 2024 – that’s it!
Last week, our acoustician, our project developer and our intern made their way to Hannover. The 50th Annual Conference on Acoustics(DAGA 2024) was held in the historic conference rooms of the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC).
We are taking this opportunity to present our deep-acting broadband absorber “apn® Forma Ocean 75″ at DAGA 2024. This wall absorber delivers maximum absorption performance from as low as 125 Hz. With a depth of just 75 mm, it is a particularly space-saving solution. This makes our apn® Forma Ocean 75 versatile – whether in sound and podcast studios, classrooms or small rooms for meetings and video conferences.
Thanks to the selection of over 420 fabrics and felts from our apn® fabric collections, there are virtually no limits to the individual design possibilities and, in combination with our apn® Forma FH product series, countless designs can be realized.

Excellent – apn® Lux Flounder
Excellent!
In order to make everyday life in offices and the like more pleasant, functional and health-promoting, the new working environments need pioneering products. This is why OFFICEROXX magazine has been selecting the top 100 office solutions of the year every year since 2004. From well over 1,000 submissions, our ambient acoustic design luminaires “apn® Lux Flunder” were voted 7th in the Top 100 office solutions of 2024!
The range of luminaires for ceilings and walls combines an uncompromising fusion of maximum sound absorption with effective, glare-free lighting – an ideal solution not only for offices. The acoustic luminaires can also be used flexibly in lounge, reception and waiting areas, bars, cafés or educational establishments. Thanks to the choice of 57 different shades and two dimmable light colors, our apn® Lux Flunder can be customized. At the same time, the ring-shaped glow creates a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow. The result: a special depth and three-dimensionality.
Like all apn® products, the acoustic design luminaires also follow the claim of bringing aesthetics and functionality into perfect harmony. The apn® Lux Flunder series blends discreetly into the interior design or makes the corporate design and corporate brand unique and tangible.

Women
Women – they are work colleagues, friends, mothers and much more!
We have a 67 % share of women in our office.
At management level, this is 50 %.
For the company as a whole, however, it falls to 37 % …
Why are we telling you this? Today is International Women’s Day. The day symbolizes a gender-equal world and equality between men and women.
We as a company are also committed to this social responsibility!
We are also in favor of more diversity in our company!
Unfortunately, the reality is still different in the skilled trades and industrial sectors. We at apn® currently employ 35 people, 17 of whom work in our assembly and production crews, including just four women. “Unfortunately!”, as our captain often mentions.
Women in particular, with their feminine intuition and their classic prototypical characteristics such as respectful interaction, attentive listening and their alert minds, bring the diversity that a company needs for the future. However, it does not matter whether these characteristics come from a woman or a man. Every person carries a certain degree of femininity and masculinity in their being. The characteristics are merely different.
Just last year, we gained two more female employees in our production department, providing us with great support that should not be underestimated. The atmosphere was lightened, everyone’s perspectives were broadened, long-established processes were questioned and new ideas were developed together.
So dear women: the skilled trades need more of you to be prepared for the future! We welcome your applications for our skilled trades and look forward to getting to know you! Click here to see if there is a suitable position for you.
What if …?
Last week, part of our crew embarked on an insightful, exciting and inspiring journey into the future. The colorful mix of office, field service, production and assembly crew members spent two days in an internal workshop dealing with a seminal issue.
Two days, three groups – new paths were explored, visions exchanged and some of the wildest ideas discussed in a variety of creative ways. The result: three different scenarios as to how apn® could develop over the next 10 years.
Although the results were full of contrasts, it became clear to all groups that their visions for the future are based on our strengths
- Know-how
- Quality
- Services
based.
They were insightful, exciting and inspiring days that we will not soon forget and will definitely have an impact on the future of apn®!
What would a start to the year be without a look back?
For a long time, we saw black for our biggest project from 2023 …
Our crew produced a total of 7,905 running meters of black “apn Lamella® A” acoustic baffles for this project. These were then assembled into graphic ceiling panels and can now be admired above the open-space workstations of BASF Service Europe GmbH’s new service hub in Berlin.
Black belongs to white like remoulade belongs to fried fish. Our custom-made “apn Lamella® A” acoustic baffles in classic white float above the areas for social interaction and informal meetings. Every single dimension between the continuous rooflights was measured by our sales representative Sven Holbe. Our crew produced a total of 2,628 running meters of baffle elements in various lengths – the longest element measures 2,990 mm, the shortest 685 mm.
This office concept focuses on flexibility and enables a dynamic and flexible way of working. With our acoustic solutions for BASF Service Europe GmbH, we have not only hit the mark with our absorption values. Thanks to our production methods, we can react flexibly to special dimensions and thus deliver a precisely fitting end product.
